I am glad TLC finally put the show on hiatus. It is long overdue. Probably should have stopped production when first signs of marital discord appeared. I have been watching from beginning and saw Kate at two appearances. At first she was inspiring and uplifting as she creditted her faith for getting her through difficult situations. At a book signing she was disappointing, rude, hurried and full of herself. Not to mention some questionable behaviour with her bodyguard. I feel for the children who have apparently lost their parent to stardom.

I love Kate and the show...she is hysterical with or without Jon. People criticize her for taking control of their situation and providing a life for her 8 kids that most wish they could provide for their average sized family. Get off her back already.

Some people might make the claim that most people appearing on reality TV are narcissistic in one way or another. Thanks for the comment!

You forgot the part about her Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Kate is great! I would love to have half of the patience she has.....she is a wonderful mother!

Carmen, I'm not familiar with Kate's religious beliefs, but I'm guessing the churches use their own discretion when deciding on who to pay for appearances.

I can't stand that alot of churches pay her to come speak as a Christian when there is nothing Christian or Godly about her.

Jan, you're not alone in your outrage regarding this particular scenario. When it comes right down to it, viewers must remember that this show isn't scripted, and therefore it won't always go in a predictable or desirable way.

I, for one, will never watch the show again. This is a shame because I enjoy the kids. But when Kate has abandoned Aunt Jodi and refused to let her be paid, is dispicable and unjust. The kids enjoyed Aunt Jodi so much. No wonder her parents have nothing to do with her.
