Who Won the Biggest Loser
From LoveToKnow Reality-TV
Who won The Biggest Loser is a question for fans and contestants of the popular reality weight loss show. The show debuted for American audiences on the NBC network in 2004. From the first episode, viewers tuned in to follow the weight loss efforts of the contestants as they faced challenges, temptations and grueling workouts to meet the challenge of losing weight.
Real Winners: Who Won The Biggest Loser?
Each season of The Biggest Loser features a re-invention of the premise. The number of contestants varies from season to season: 12 contestants in the first season, 14 in the second, 50 in the third, 18 in the fourth, 10 teams of two in the fifth and eight teams of two in the sixth. Contestants travel to a ranch facility that features indoor and outdoor activities including a full-service gym and swimming pool.
The show utilizes personal trainers and nutritionists to design healthy diets complemented by strenuous workout programs. The goal is to help the contestants lose weight. While The Biggest Loser is the contestant who loses the most weight, every contestant is considered a winner because they commit themselves to a healthier lifestyle. Some contestants go on to lose more weight after being eliminated from the show by using the skills learned during the contest and competing at home for a $100,000 prize.
