Hints and Tips

Here are a few tips to keep in mind if you're trying to get tickets, or if you've already got them and are planning to attend a taping.

  • Hell's Kitchen studio is located in Culver City, California. You'll need to either live close enough to the studio to drive there, or plan your visit to coincide with travel plans.
  • If you get tickets, you and everyone else in your dining party will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which prohibits you from sharing the details of your visit with anyone. This is to prevent spoilers from leaking before the show has aired, and to ensure the integrity of the production.
  • The dress code is just short of formal, so you'll need to make sure you're dressed appropriately or you won't be seated.
  • Expect a lot of down time. The only schedule followed is that of the production team, so there may be times when there's very little going on. Things like sound and lighting need to be adjusted, scenes sometimes have to be re-shot, and there are always plenty of problems that could arise.
  • Be prepared for the possibility that you won't get to eat. If things are going especially badly in the kitchens, Ramsay will shut down the entire service and send patrons out. If this happens before your entrée has arrived at your table, you're out of luck.

Sitting in the dining area during a taping of Hell's Kitchen is a unique experience, and it's worth the effort to try and get tickets.
