Season Recaps
Season 1
The first season begins as Laguna Beach was in its second season. Lauren meets up with Heidi Montag and juggles school and her job at Teen Vogue. Lauren gives Jason another chance and Heidi quits school and begins work at Bolthouse Productions. Heidi also dated Jordan Eubanks for a while but ended it eventually. The last episode of the season saw Lauren offered an internship in Paris. Lauren says no so she can be with Jason. An internship in New York was offered to Whitney, the co-worker, but Whitney turned that one down so she could take the one in Paris. Heidi then tells Audrina that she is over Jordan, and she and Audrina become girls about town almost every summer night.
Season 2
Lauren broke up with Jason and then went up against the New York chosen intern just to keep competitive in her job. Whitney and Emily Magic interviewed for the same position at Teen Vogue. Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt, to which Lauren objected. Spencer also wanted to date Audrina and he lied to Heidi, making it seem like Audrina was constantly all over him. Later, Heidi caught Spencer cheating on her and she claimed the relationship was over, but they eventually reconciled. Lauren and Audrina slowly became good friends, which made Heidi mad. At the season finale, Heidi and Spencer get a place together and Lauren and Audrina get a place together.
Season 3
Lauren and Heidi (who was engaged at this point) fought some more because Lauren blamed Heidi for a rumor. Whitney broke up with her boyfriend and was having a hard time with her new job as Direct Supervisor of the interns. Lauren finally got a chance to go to Paris to help with Bal des Debutantes. Whitney was to join her. When they got back, Whitney wanted more from her career so she defected from Teen Vogue and got a job for People's Revolution and had Lauren join her. Lauren and childhood friend Lo Bosworth bought a house together and reluctantly let Audrina live with them even thought she kept spending time with Justin. Heidi was doing good at Bolthouse Productions and their engagement went into a hiatus and Spencer moved in with his sisters. In the finale, Heidi was almost fired for going home with Spencer after he showed up during Heidi's business trip in Las Vegas. Audrina was blaming Lo for pulling her friendship apart with Lauren.
Spin-offs
One more spin-off is planned for 2009 called The City, which will involve Whitney going to New York City. It is currently being filmed. Shows like this typically have a short shelf life and don't make history, just on lists of reality TV shows.
