The Ikki Twins are the new bachelorettes for MTV's Shot at Love series. Both twins are trying to find love in A Double Shot at Love, which follows a very similar format as the two seasons before it.

The Early Years

Rikki was born about two minutes before her sister. The Ikki twins were born in Pennsylvania and moved to nine other states before the family decided that Southern California was going to be their final home.

Both girls got jobs at Hooters, and because the patrons and their coworkers had a really difficult time telling them apart they were nicknamed "The Ikki Twins," which is the first letters of their nicknames removed.

About this time they began to realize that they were attracted to both guys and girls. Rikki uncovered this fact first, but was apprehensive about sharing it with her parents or her sister because she didn't want to be ridiculed by society. Soon, though, Vikki would come to the rescue and admit that she was also bisexual and Rikki was no longer afraid of keeping it inside.

Ikki Twins Modeling

The Ikki Twins landed their first modeling gig when a coworker asked them to model for a motorcycle Internet site. They were discovered by a talent manager and the Ikki Twins were soon posing for car magazines and various calenders, including the yearly Hooter's Calendars. Soon, they were picked up by Playboy as Cybergirls and featured in numerous Special Edition Playboy magazines. Import Tuner magazine also listed them as the "Top 25 Hottest Girls of all Time", which also included Tila Tequila.

Why A Double Shot at Love

Rikki and Vikki admit that dating men and women increases their chances of falling in love, but it also increases the chance to get their heart broken. Both girls decided to do everything possible to obtain love. The next step was to seek that love on national TV and become the next objects of affection of the A Shot of Love series.

The Ikki Twins originally sent an e-mail to MTV before Tila Tequila quit the series, but MTV didn't read it. They had to audition, like many hopeful people wanting love, and soon were rewarded with the chance to join A Shot at Love. Both girls were single for quite some time and after getting blessings from their parents (because they didn't want any backlash to occur to their younger brother and sister), they said yes.

Merchandise

It seems you can find collectors for anything and Ikki Twin's merchandise is no exception. If you collect sports cards, you might have come across box toppers picturing the Ikki twins at some time in all your purchases. Box toppers are single cards inserted into full sports packs and usually aren't available anywhere else. Sometimes, these box toppers can fetch decent money.

The Ikki twins posed for a few box toppers that are currently getting anywhere from $1.00 to $6.00 per card on eBay. Autographed cards are available, which have been valued up to $80.
