Fox Reality TV Shows
In recent years, Fox reality TV shows have been dominating the station's airwaves. From Blind Date to Meet My Folks, Fox TV has carved out an impressive niche of programming based in real life. Below are a few popular favorites, as well as some little-known programs worth watching.
Top Fox Reality TV Shows
Fox has long been the leader in reality TV, and many will argue that they hit absolute gold with American Idol. Going into its eighth season of auditions, American Idol has started a global phenomenon, with countless viewers and plenty of pop star wannabes performing for the judges in every city they visit.
However, Fox is home to much more than Simon and Paula, and here are a few favorites.
Kitchen Nightmares
A lot of viewers will remember Chef Gordon Ramsey's first American reality TV turn on his show, Hell's Kitchen. Now he's back with Kitchen Nightmares, where he visits failing U.S. restaurants and turns them around for the better. From cockroaches on the counter to dishes too disgusting for human consumption, Ramsey brings back eateries from the dead. Currently broadcasting Thursday evenings at 9pm (as of September 2008), Kitchen Nightmares is a sinfully decadent treat for restaurateurs and anyone else who misses the complaining, rage, and the prolific accomplishments of one of Britain's finest.
Don't Forget the Lyrics
Wayne Brady is entertaining when he works solo, having previously shown his talent and charisma on the hilarious Whose Line Is It Anyway. Now he is the host of Don't Forget the Lyrics, Fox's karaoke style memory game. From classic rock to current teeny bopper tunes, contestants are challenged to remember the words to a diverse array of songs. Winners receive $1 million, and of course, karaoke fame amongst their friends and family.

The Fox Reality Channel
Since there isn't possibly enough broadcast time for all of America to get their reality TV fill, Fox has launched the Fox Reality Channel - a premium cable station devoted to Reality TV 24/7. Besides Fox reality TV shows from both past and present day, Fox Reality Channel features other stations' gems, such asMTV's Punk'd and the CW's Beauty and the Geek. The station's official website even features blogs about top shows likeProject Runway, and also offers up plenty of juicy celebrity gossip. If you're looking to catch up on your favorite stars, both everyday and celebrity, then visit Fox Reality Channel'sofficial site.
One of the greatest perks of Fox Reality Channel, is it doesn't just feature shows from the U.S. They have a great lineup of Australian and British reality stints you won't see on American airwaves anywhere else.
Fox Reality TV Shows have continued to gain momentum over the years, as television primetime has evolved from sitcoms and crime dramas, into America's obsession with…itself. More shows are guaranteed to come down the pipe during upcoming seasons, and there seems to be plenty of anticipatory fans waiting for it to happen.
