Confessions of a Teen Idol
From LoveToKnow Reality-TV
Confessions of a Teen Idol is a reality TV show on VH1, created by Scott Baio and Jason Hervey. The show puts a spotlight on former male teen idols, what they're doing now, and their reintroduction into the Hollywood spotlight.
Overview of Confessions of a Teen Idol
VH1 had a hit on their hands with their series of shows based on former teen idol Scott Baio. The shows, called Scott Baio is 45 and Single and Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant, followed the actor as he finally settled down, got married, and had his first child with wife Renee.
Continuing to play on the affections of viewers, the network introduced Confessions of a Teen Idol, which is based on a similar premise. Fans want to know what their idols of the past are up to now and what they look like, and this show delivers that information along with a healthy dose of humor.
Seven former teen idols all reside together on the show, while Scott Baio attempts to revive their careers. Interestingly, the house the stars live in is the same house used in The Real World: Hollywood. Over the course of eight episodes, the idols reflect on their past successes and try to reinvent themselves. Their mentors are also the creators of the show, Baio and former Wonder Years star Jason Hervey.
